Picnic On Dog Mountain

Pet Partners say, “ All dogs are invited to… run like crazy…make new friends… swim, swim, swim, or just take in the beautiful scenery on Dog Mountain". This Saturday, July 18th, Dog Mountain will be hosting the Vermont Pet Partners annual picnic. Vermont Pet Partners works to improve human health through therapy animals. Their goal is to expand awareness of the positive effect animals can have on human health and development, to remove barriers that prevent involvement of animals in everyday life, and to expand the therapeutic role of animals in human health and education. Always fascinating and fun to watch, the picnic will feature demonstrations of Sled Dogs, Seeing Eye Dogs, Agility Dogs, Reading Dogs, and more. Help us celebrate all that dogs do for us with fun and food, Saturday, July 18th from 12 to 4. Stephen Huneck will be there for a Book Signing 12-3. In addition, The Stephen Huneck Gallery will donate 10% of the days sales to Vermont Pet Partners.

“Partners” Sculpture Completed for Southeastern Guide Dogs

Speaking of working dogs, here’s a sculpture Stephen just completed for the Southeastern Guide Dogs of Palmetto, FL. The sculpture titled, “Partners” depicts a woman accompanied by her guide dog, a black lab, wearing a harness. The sculpture will occupy an honored spot at the center of their courtyard named "Circle of Friends"of the Southeastern Guide Dogs center.
