6th Annual Labor of Love Weekend

Dog Mountain
Saint Johnsbury, VT

May 5th-6th 2018
Time: 10am-4pm Saturday, 10am-4pm Sunday

Please sign up to Volunteer

Five years ago we started what has become an annual tradition here at Dog Mountain: a “Labor of Love” Weekend, where we invite friends of Dog Mountain to volunteer their time, talents, expertise, and sweat to throw Dog Mountain a party of repairs, maintenance, and general sprucing up. It’s a chance for all of us to honor Stephen and Gwen’s legacy and give back to the mountain that’s given us all so much.

We have lots of jobs for all skill levels, and everyone is welcome! Some of the projects on our list:

  • Dog Chapel: The Dog Chapel is the heart and soul of Dog Mountain and it's in need of some tender loving care before the summer season. Help us make it look as good as new!
  • Grounds Beautification: Gardening & landscaping, cleaning, brush hauling, fence painting & repairs, trail maintenance, etc.

Dog Mountain will gladly accept any tools, paint brushes, paint, gardening supplies, cleaning products, ladders, safety equipment, etc, that you would be able to bring, lend, or donate for the weekend. Please check out our Amazon wish list HERE.

Interested in being a team leader? We're looking for a few of qualified persons with experience in:

  • Painting
  • Carpentry
  • Gardening

Lunch will be provided to all volunteers. Come for the weekend, for a day, or for a few hours. Whatever you can give!

If you’re planning on participating, please go to our Volunteer page and fill out the form to tell us a little about yourself, your interests and skills, whether you’re interested in being a team leader, and any equipment you’ll be bringing. That will help us get organized in advance.

Can't make it to Labor of Love and still want to pitch in? Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Dog Mountain.

We’re looking forward to a great weekend with old friends and new!
