Fall Dog Party 2017

Dog Mountain
Saint Johnsbury, VT

Saturday, October 7th 2017
Time: 12pm-4pm

It’s the most beautiful time of the year in New England, and it’s time once again to celebrate the season at Dog Mountain’s annual Fall Dog Party presented by Stephen Huneck Gallery and Friends of Dog Mountain!

There will be a host of activities for the whole family! Tasty tacos by Caja Madera, foot-tapping live music by The Barnyard Incident, Sugar on Snow by Vermont Maple Sugar Guru Chris Parker, a bounce house for the kids, art activities, lawn games, door prizes, and, of course, Dog Mountain's famous dog contests!

We hope you can take the time to grab your camera, hop in the car, and take the scenic ride to leaf-romping, four-legged fun and smiles at Dog Mountain. Your dogs will thank you with many wags of their tail and wet kisses.

The Fall Dog Party is free to the public and will be held rain or shine.

If you would like to volunteer an hour or two of your time to help out at the party, please fill out a volunteer form Here.

5th Annual Labor of Love Weekend

Dog Mountain
Saint Johnsbury, VT

April 29th-30th, 2017
Time: 10am-4pm Saturday, 10am-4pm Sunday

Four years ago we started what we hope will be an annual tradition here at Dog Mountain: a “Labor of Love” Weekend, where we invite friends of Dog Mountain to volunteer their time, talents, expertise, and sweat to throw Dog Mountain a party of repairs, maintenance, and general sprucing up. It’s a chance for all of us to honor Stephen and Gwen’s legacy and give back to the mountain that’s given us all so much.

We have lots of jobs for all skill levels, and everyone is welcome! Some of the projects on our list:

  • Basic carpentry
  • Fence repairs
  • Gardening & landscaping
  • Painting the gallery and the Dog Chapel
  • Outdoor sculpture repair
  • Trail maintenance
  • Branch trimming & mowing
  • Hauling and cleaning

Come for the weekend, for a day, or for a few hours. Whatever you can give!

We’ll be offering tent sites. We also have a list of other pet-friendly accommodations listed HERE.

If you’re planning on coming, please go to our Volunteer page and fill out the form to tell us a little about yourself, your interests and skills, whether you’re interested in being a team leader, and any equipment you’ll be bringing. That will help us get organized in advance.

We’re looking forward to a great weekend with old friends and new!
