Help Us Sustain the Dog Mountain Magic

Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, 2025 is shaping up to be a year of meaningful restoration and progress at Dog Mountain. This month, we’re breaking ground on two major projects: restoring the beloved Dog Pond after last summer’s devastating floods and renovating our trails to make them more accessible, sustainable, and resilient. But we need your help to keep going.

You may remember the heartbreaking damage Dog Mountain suffered during last summer’s back-to-back floods—washed-out roads, ruined infrastructure, and months of work undone in a single day. Rebuilding has taken everything we have: staff energy, emergency funds, and your generous support.

Today, as we begin implementing long-planned site improvements, we’re navigating rising costs and an uncertain economy. We know times are tough for many, which makes the continued care and encouragement we receive from this community all the more meaningful.
“Dog Mountain is where I’ve laughed, cried, and felt deeply connected to something bigger than myself. This is more than a beloved sanctuary for dogs, it’s a living piece of art and joy. Together we can ensure it’s here, and thriving, for generations to come.” — Terry Buchmiller, Board Member and Supporter
We’ve come so far together. But if we want to sustain this momentum and ensure Dog Mountain remains a place of joy and healing for dogs and their people, we need your help.

Please consider making a mid-season gift today. Your support helps us preserve the spirit of Huneck’s legacy. Every gift helps bring us closer to a stronger, more resilient future.
Thank you for being a part of the Dog Mountain Pack, and for helping us keep this special place thriving!
